Waldom Electronics EMEA has an exciting career opportunity for a Business Development Manager in our Netherlands office. As Business Development Manager you will be the primary category point of contact for Electronic Component Suppliers’ interactions, performance, and negotiations. In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance, and you will drive projects that will lead to building and growing strategic relationship with our suppliers.

 

Waldom Electronics pioneered the concept of master distribution and is the recognized leader in the billion-dollar electronic component redistribution market. Waldom is the “Master distributor” for over 30 world-class suppliers and our customers include the largest global electronic broad-line (Arrow, Avnet, TTI, etc.) and Global high-service distributors (RS, Farnell, etc.), regional and local distributors in the electrical and industrial distributors markets throughout the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • You will lead and own programs with our Key Suppliers

  • You will own the relationship between Waldom and Supplier’s Stakeholders

  • You will travel to Supplier Head Quarters as well as to summits and trade shows to build the network

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree in business, Business Administration, or related field of study

  • At least (2) years’ experience in Supplier/Partner Relations

  • Highly effective communication skills, including professional demeanor, artful negotiation skills, and outstanding phone etiquette

  • Ability to apply creative problem-solving techniques to situations using sound business judgment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to multi-task in an effective, timely and professional manner

  • Proven ability to apply attention to detail, role-related accuracy and task follow-through

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft (MS) Office, with focus on demonstrated working MS Excel experience

  • Team-oriented operating style with effective interpersonal skills that allow successful business interactions with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels

  • Ability to travel

  • Electronic Component industry knowledge preferred
